While the time on market is considerably higher for the new homes in Ashland Park (162 Days) this is not uncommon. Homes under construction are frequently listed early in the construction stage when it’s not even possible to tour the inside of the property (it might not even exist yet). The existing homes avg time on market is actually lower than the Champaign MLS average of 110 Days.

Disregarding the national real estate environment, Champaign and Ashland Park have managed to increase the number of homes sold from 2008 to 2009. It’s tough to measure but I’m sure a large part of this is due to the Federal Tax Credits for home buyers and the incentives offered by the developers.
