The 2012 inventory of homes for sale has been almost 12% below last years average. At the end of July their were 1748 homes for sale in Champaign County. As of this morning there were 1714.
May 2012 – Champaign Home Sales
The number of home sales (houses, condos, zerolots and coops) is up 61% comparing the Month of May 2012 to 2011. (The May 2012 numbers may change slightly as a few more sales trickle in) This follows a 34% increase for April and 16% increase in March. Great news for the Champaign real estate market.
Champaign and Savoy Neighborhood Update
Average Days on Market (DOM) for homes in these Champaign Subdivisions has varied quite a bit, but there is not a noticeable trend in these numbers. Cherry Hills maintained it's edge over the other subdivisions with a surprisingly short 59 DOM. Robeson Meadows West was on the long end with a an average time to sale of just over 4 months.
