Balanced Inventory of Ranch Homes in Champaign

$151,900 - 3BR and 2 Full Baths

This afternoon there were 277 Ranch or 1-Story homes actively for sale in Champaign out of a total of 552 listings. (that’s around 50.1% of all listings for those keeping score).  County wide there were 914 Ranch homes representing 54.9% of all MLS listings.  (The difference in city to county might be attributed to more 1-Story properties in rural areas of the county than in town.) August 2011 Home Sales – Champaign Realtors Association

Home Sales in August of 2011 were up and down.  The Champaign County Association of Realtors reported 239 units sold up 40% from August of 2010.  This number is down from 254 units sold in July 2011 which reflects a typical seasonal slowdown. Continue reading

Which Sells Quicker – 2, 3 or 4 Bedroom Homes?

Through March of 2011, closed sales of 3-Bedroom properties in the Champaign County MLS represented 54.5% of total sales.  This represents the largest segment of home sales broken down by bedroom.
