About Us

This blog is provided as an additional resource to supplement our traditional real estate site, ChampaignExperts.com

Within these posts you’ll find relevant and accurate information about the Champaign County real estate market and specific neighborhoods.  This info is meant to help you in your real estate search or home-sale.  Most recently, clients have tended to use this site to find info on specific neighborhoods and tips for home buying and selling in Champaign.

Background

I relocated to Champaign in 2004 after spending a few years in Chicago where I met my wife, Kacy.  We now have 2 beautiful daughters, Tessa and Lauren, and enjoy all the fun, excitement and stress that comes with great kids.

Originally from Effingham, my introduction to Champaign came through my college experience.  I graduated with a finance degree in 1998 and first put that knowledge to use with USBank in Chicago where I met Kacy.  Moving back to Champaign and transitioning into real estate allowed me to bring that financial background to the real estate transaction.  That knowledge has been extremely useful in helping clients evaluate offers, negotiate contracts and in reviewing financing options.

I enjoy working with clients that are looking for a professional approach to the real estate transaction. I pride myself on providing and interpreting the local market data for my clients and helping them get the most value whether buying or selling.

Odds and Ends

When we can, Kacy and I enjoy UofI football and basketball and all things that our kids are interested in!  In between, I’ll try to fit in a round of golf  :) but on a slow weekend you’ll most likely find me in the backyard with ‘my girls’ working through a “to-do” list and getting the grill ready for dinner.
